Join us in co-creating a ceremony of gratitude and healing for the oaks. Enjoy a beautiful day on Mount Tam celebrating the biodiversity, gifts and wisdom of our Oaks. Find inspiration and wonder within the great web of life! We will convene a Council of all Oak Beings – a communal ritual that allows us to step aside from our human identity and speak on behalf of other life forms. This is a family-friendly event, and all ages are welcome!.

Oaks grow in North Africa, the Middle East, Europe, North America, and Asia. In many of these oak ecosystems, people have eaten acorns and revered the oaks. Maybe your ancestors ate acorns and honored the oaks? You might be surprised…
While we deeply honor and respect the Coast Miwok, the first peoples of Mount Tamalpias, this is not a Native American ceremony. The Mount Tam Oak Ceremony is for all people who wish to reweave themselves into the web of life for the benefit of all.
While meditating on Mount Tam, the Tanoaks told me that their wisdom is leaving the planet. They used to be loved, celebrated and cared for. They are sick, lonely and feel unloved. They asked me for oak ceremonies on Mount Tam. And as nuts as it may seem- I am going to do it. After all – Today’s mighty oak is just a little nut who stood her ground”.
